I am an elementary art teacher and I find this book full of great ideas for my students. While the fabric projects are good for at home crafts, I use the patterns and templates with paper instead and the kids love to make things 3-D. For the school Carnival we were able to make some cool new games that are fairly indestructible and very colorful! Lots of fun.

My kids love to browse through this book when they have a birthday party and want to bring something special as a gift–not the same old stuff from Target. My usually rambunctious kids actually settle down when we pick a couple projects from this book. They love to see the progress the others are making and work extra hard to make their own look practically perfect. Lots of fun and easy to follow the directions. Not a big deal to get the supplies for projects either.

This book has fantastic crafts that my kids love! It is a great way to get the kids interested in fabrics and sewing before they are old enough to use the sewing machine. It’s also fun for seasoned veterans to try their hand at using fabrics in ways I hadn’t imagined. This book is a great way to foster creativity in everyone from kids to adults.

I admire the creative reviewers who recommended using the handy templates this book contains with other materials, such as construction paper BUT I would be a lot happier with this book if it offered a few no-sew projects that don’t require fast2fuse. I work with a very young age group, and there’s no way my group of three-year-olds are going to be able to iron their little projects. I wouldn’t have purchased this book if I’d realized every project called for fast2fuse.
